Two separate rollover automobile accidents were reported this past weekend involving local residents. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported as a result of these accidents.
THe frost of these accident occurred on HWY 277 South, between Carrizo Springs and Eagle Pass, within Maverick County. The driver was identified as Antonio Ramirez, 26 years old, who drove a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. According to reports from the driver he swerved in order to avoid a deer when he lost control of the vehicle.
In a separate incident on Saturday at 11: 38 am, another rollover accident was reported on FM 131 towards Spoford, Texas north of Eagle Pass. The Sheriff's report indicates that a Chevy pick-up, model year 2000, overturned inside of county lines.
Firefighters and members of the Sheriff Department rescue units rushed to the scene to render aid.
According to the report the driver was identified as Jose L. Munoz, and passenger Macario Cruz, both were taken to the emergency room, his injuries were not reported as very serious.
Both accidents are being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
