Dos Republicas invites Chamber of Commerce to visit existing coal mine

Representatives of the Dos Republicas Coal Mine met with Chamber of Commerce directors this week to invite them to visit an existing coal mine in Hallsville, Texas. Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will be reviewing the invitation and will decide on  a potential visit date in the near future. 
The idea of Dos Republicas opening up shop in Maverick County has been met with wide spread resistance by the community and city and county leaders. It is assumed that a trip to an existing facility will help garner some favor by the business community. The Sabine Mine in Hallsville, Texas is located outside of Dallas, Texas and produces over 4 million pounds of coal each year.
