Sissy is 14 years old and an eighth grader at Yorktown Christian Academy in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is on the volleyball and basketball team. Sissy volunteers for various community and service projects with her church, school and 4-H.
Sissy started rodeoing when she was 4 years old and her first rodeos were in Quemado, were she competed there for many years. They were some of her most favorite memories. Sissy's family is from Eagle Pass and they still have a home here outside of town. Sissy is not only a rodeo queen but truly knows rodeo. Sissy now competes in five rodeo events and has won two Junior High National Titles and two Reserve Junior High National Titles as well as three Texas Junior High Rodeo State Titles. Sissy was also Miss Texas Junior High Rodeo Princess, Miss Tyler County Princess.
She loves promoting the sport of rodeo and encourages every young girl to go after her dreams, put God first and you can accomplish so much in His strengths.
Sissy will be present at the Maverick County Junior Livestock Show Pageant Sunday, January 15, 2012.
