Western Royalty were named over the weekend at the 3rd Annual Maverick County Junior Livestock Show Pageant. Winning the title for ages 3-6 were, Little Mr. MCJLS Aidan Lopez and Little Mr. Cowboy Juan De Dios Negrete; Little Miss MCJLS Queen Soleil A. Gonzalez and Little Miss Western Queen Kaylee Brianna Mata; Princess West Giselle Barrera, Princess East Christina Michelle Williams Rodriguez, Duchess West Ayana Jewel Kypuros, Duchess East Amanda Alvarez. Receiving crowns in the 6-9 age group were, Jr. Miss MCJLS Queen Nina Anette Mata and Jr. Miss Western Queen Rashel De la Garza; Princess West Alexa Nicole Martinez, Princess East Melanie Morales, Duchess West Emily Torres, Duchess East Sofiana Marie Guerra. Results for ages 10-13 were: Miss Teen MCJLS Queen Shawnee Betacourt and Miss Teen Western Queen Karyna Mejia; Princess West Thalia Martinez, Princess East Paloma Garcia Zuazua, Duchess West Karla Mayte Velez, Duchess East Emily Liliana Mata. Receiving top honors in the 14-18 age group, Miss MCJLS Queen Laura Camila Haby and Miss Western Queen Tyler Kaye Flores; Princess West Andrea Miranda, Princess East Hazel Morales, Duchess West Kiara Balboa and Duchess East Mariana Alamillo. Elena Hernandez was selected as Miss Amity, Miss Photogenic went to Hazel Morales and the People’s choice contestant was Tyler Flores. Organizers thank all the contestants and supporters who made this event a huge success.
