Road and Bridge employees have begun the construction of speed bumps to reduce the speed of motorists in high risk areas of Precinct 3, North of Eagle Pass. These areas are near public schools and offices.
Some of the areas of focus are: Texas Migrant Council facilities, Seco Mines, and Pete Gallegos elementary schools. Precinct 3 Commissioner, Jose Luis Rosales, stated that more speed bumps will soon be built in the vicinity of these schools and other areas.
He said that this plan keeps our children safer, forcing motorists to reduce speed and drive with caution.
Throughout this week, Road and Bridge employees were hard at work completing some of the planned speed bumps.
