Hundreds of community members gathered yesterday to enjoy an old fashioned Cowboy Breakfast as part of the traditional Maverick County Junior Livestock Show kickoff. The breakfast was prepared by members of the MCJLS Association, while 4-H youth and FFA participants served attendees. Officials from City, County, School District, Hospital District and other organization came together to show their support for the 200 plus students that learn valuable lessons from the stock show experience. Association President Tim Hardt MC’d the event, and encouraged the community to attend the sale and activities; especially Saturday afternoon where businesses and entrepreneurs are invited to make a purchase projects locally.
