The Treasure Hunters Road Show has descended on our fair city and is presently at the Hampton Inn from Tuesday, January 31st thru Saturday, February 4th. Two of their representatives are in Eagle Pass to offer our community deals on everything from collectibles to gold jewelry.
Jason Von Lanken, representative for THR & Associates informed The News-Gram of the response by local collectors and enthusiasts.
"We've been having a great turnout on old Spanish and Mexican silver coins, old American coins and gold jewelry for which we've seen a good response."
An ounce of fine gold bullion in the form of a Krugerrand, for example would get its owner close to $1,700.00 according to Von Lanken.
"We're really happy about the turnout and have spent close to $5,000.00 on the first day," he added.
Coins such as the Mercury dime for example may only get you a dollar without the "D" mint mark, however the rarity of the mint mark may get its owner up to $1,000.00 more just by authenticity.
During the show, local residents are invited to bring their antiques, collectibles (from coins, paper currency, diamonds, watches, sports memorabilia, historical documents, comics and guitars) and precious metals to discover their age, place of origin and to ask everyone's favorite question, "What's it worth?" Their specialists are loaded with information, and it's absolutely free.
So look for those mint-marked coins Eagle Pass and come out to the Hampton Inn and find out if you have any hidden treasures in your night stands or dresser drawers.
