The community at large is invited to participate in a conference focused on the population can be prepared to confront the risks of tornadoes or severe storms.
The aforementioned information was given to The News Gram by Karina Martinez, who labors with Texas A&M University Community Programs, she also mentioned that the presentation will be conducted by Felix Carrasco, of the Eagle PAss Fire Department. This program has been set for February 16th at 10:00 A.M. at the Lopitegui Park, on the south side of the city.
According to experts, our region has seen an increase in severe weather over a recent period of time, least we forget in April of 2007 when a tornado caused severe damage and death in the Rosita Valley area. A few years later, we had similar tornado warnings and everyone feared the worst, therefore we must be prepared and we need to be educated as to what to do in a situation such as this as well as how to protect your family.
The public in general is invited to attend this conference according to Ms. Martinez.
